The end of Ella's first Summer means the beginning of Ella's first Fall... we can't wait. There is so much to look forward to: apple orchards, leaves falling, Halloween!, baby mittens, and more we have yet to even imagine.
We are starting to get ready for the cold... Ella got her new winter hat. It is a good thing that Ella shares her parents' sense of humor.
Unfortunately the puppies are not fooled...
We always spend a little time running errands, and doing things we just have to. We went to the post office and mailed Uncle Mike a package for the start of his third year of college (already?!). But the second package just wouldn't stay still on the scale...
We took a trip around the party store looking at all of the neat 1 year old things...
Another Mom gave us the starter bag of ingredients for Amish friendship bread, so Ella helped bake...
We had a visit from Mom's friend Kristin...
Who gave Miss Ella her very first Red Sox hat (which was a huge sacrifice as she is a die hard Yankees fan - boo!)
Ella is still loving her high chair - and tried cantelope this week for the first time. Here's the high chair, not the cantelope, and of course her continued love of spoons...
But for now, while the weather is nice, we will take our walks (drives) and enjoy the sunshine.
And the smiles.

Oh man, I was really looking forward to that second package. She sure did dodged a bullet. I love those pictures with that hat. I can't wait for those winter pictures of her as a big puffball in tons of winter layers. I'm diggin' the sox hat too, she might not be the most die hard sox fan yet but she definitely is the cutest.

I love the hat and the facial expression that comes along with it. And I love that you are making plans for the big party!
