In her short life she has accomplished much. Not only does she eat, poop, and sleep on a schedule of her own design, but now she's teething, sucking toes, and starting to roll over.
She talks too! Oh sure just because you can't understand what's she saying, doesn't mean she is not having and entire conversation with you. Ooooh, aaaaagh, mmmmmmmmmmmmm. Mmmmmm is easily her favorite word now, because every time she says it, her cheeks puff out and then... bubbles.
Being a mom is the greatest job in the world, but being a baby ain't half bad. Right now she is soundly sleeping next to Mom, after a long day of teething. Ella went with Dad to a baby music show at the local coffee house today. Mom met them there on her lunch break. Ella is not sure what to make of people or kids, but she always takes it in stride. Yesterday she had her second baby massage and does yoga with Dad. She is very zen.
I have to say though, it is all going so fast. She is roughly 16 lbs and is pushing 6 months. She is outgrowing her clothes faster than I can buy cute new ones (which is a pretty impressive task).
Although I don't wish for stunted growth, I would love to pause these moments, take a bigger breath and enjoy.
