To celebrate Mommy's 2nd (or 3rd if you could her prenatal Mother's Day) Mother's Day, Dad and Ella had lots of big plans. We started the day sleeping in late to 8:30. Since Ella usually has us up and running at 6am, this was a welcome suprise. Then we headed out to a great diner breakfast and came back for a little nap before heading out to a lovely Mother's Day lunch.
We ate a great old colonial lunch at a 1700s farm house, tavern, and barn. We laughed a lot and enjoyed the good company.
Then we headed out for a little shopping. We picked up some flowers and veggies for our yard and garden at a local farm stand. Next we were off for some clothes shopping as Mommy needed a new dress for a wedding we have coming up. Ella really liked meeting all of the mannequins.
Then it was home for some work and play in the yard, a very very light dinner, and a little more Italian dessert - Ella's first pizzelle cookie. (You'll have to imagine Ella playing in her turtle sandbox as Mommy didn't want to run into the house for the camera and miss the action).
A nice long bathtime, a quiet night at home, and the perfect end to a perfect Mother's Day with the perfect little daughter.
