Daddy had some plans with friends in NYC, so Mommy and Ella had a girls weekend in Mommy's hometown in CT. We had fun doing all of Mommy's favorite things. A stop at the amusement center. Ella got to ride the very same carosel Mommy did when she was little. Boy did that go fast!
Then it was off to drop Dad off with his friends, so of course there was a donut break along the way...
The weather was perfect. Sunny and warm. So we hit the beach with Mommy's friend Matt and Ella's friend Allorra and John.
Ella did have a first while we were heading to the beach. Since it was Ella's first time wearing shorts after she developed her walking feet - she hit the ground walking, literally. Here is the evidence of Ella's first skinned knee. Good thing Mommy is always prepared with her first aid kit.
Of course there was a stop for a snack in the sunshine.
Then a little playing and even more playing at Chuck E. Cheese, and some yummy pizza.
After a really long day, it was time for Night Night. Ella really enjoyed staying at the hotel. She got her own bed and even got to go swimming too.
We ended our little trip with a good breakfast at a CT staple and headed home. A busy weekend, and a great one.
